Was one of the most successful trouble-shooting attempts by CIAP Engineers. Able to power up huge tanker with their professionalism and give a cheerful end to 2020.

Ship Building yard has kept their trust on us and given the opportunity to recover massive tanker which lost their power almost month back. They have towed to Colombo anchorage and CIAP professionals board the ship. They have attended the work and rectify the issues which were existing on No 2 and 3 Generator engines. Rectified mechanical faults, electrical and automation faults which were on Main switchboard as well as Generator engine side. Mechanical faults rectified with a used spare which was on board.

The boiler was not in operational and they were unable to start the main engine as well. Same attended by our engineers and found the issue with the boiler. Same could not able to bring back to fully automated condition due to unavailability of spares. But we make it operational boiler so we are able to bring ships nerve system operational in emergency mode.

Same time we rectified the main engine issues which existed on Stop solenoids and engine control room engine control handle. Once trouble rectified the main engine tested ahead and astern successfully in local control, Engine control room and from Bridge.

Well done Team CIAP and thumbs up. Many happy smiles on Ship staff, when CIAP ends their worst 33days without power.
