Work : Provision Crane Rams overhauling
There are some work you really need shore assistance to complete in short notice.
Nowadays in container lines which are fast moving vessels they have very tight schedules with fixed ETA
for longer time and they don’t have even smaller time period as buffer time period to do any repairs or
delays.
Mean time Its very crucial to select a repair company who will be competent enough and cooperative
team to do the such repairs and relationship builds up between service team and the ship staff.
On request of managers team CIAP Deployed their service team to do the in situ overhauling of the
provision crane rams. Proper communication with the agents has been established well before to get
the hot work permission during to carry out the work during cargo operation and pre planning taken
place with on board team prior attending the job.
Team boarded the vessel on arrival and started their work and complete overhaul done on the ram and
rams boxed backed with newly installed spare.
Time was so tight and final installation of the remaining last pin has to do by the ship staff on behalf of
us and the overhauling the ram successfully completed by the team CIAP. We highly appreciate the
coordination and the cooperation given to Team CIAP by vessel staff and job done on, one ram during
port stay.
