The vessel’s FWD and AFT mooring rollers had been seized and not in a state of being rotated when the mooring rope passes through. CIAP was requested to ease up the rollers. It is not that an easy job as it seems because corroded rough pieces were stucked in between the pin and the inner surface of the rollers.21 Rollers were eased up.

One of the AFT rollers could not be eased up using hammering and heating up since its inner pin had been deformed, so that it was removed and fixed back after machining
