Ballast tank level system calibration and troubleshooting including Draft sensors. Team CIAP received the opportunity to rectify the issues with the tank level monitoring system.

It is a very critical system, especially to the ship’s chief Officer, who handles the loading and unloading and stability of the vessel. Accuracy is a must when the officer does the calculation and it is very hard to get manual sounding very frequently, especially on larger vessels. Remote level monitoring system is a system which gives the quick reading and reflects the actual tank condition.

Team CIAP did the pressure testing of the tank air lines, deck seal and then calibration was done in the level reading units and EP converters as well. The system was adjusted for highest accuracy and the same was offered to the ship’s staff after successful trials.
